Fuel Specialist
Department: Fuel Management
Reports to: Supervisor, Service and Operations

Specialist Duties and Responsibilities:
• Deliver consistent, superior service to fuel management customers
• Monitor flight schedules for aircraft and determine the best fuel stop without compromising service and safety
• Assist in the selection of preferred FBOs, vendors and method of payment for each fuel stop based on researching fuel prices
• Negotiate fuel prices with appropriate parties
• Prepare and distribute fuel instructions to dispatch and flight crews
• Advise FBOs and/or resellers of fueling information
• Obtain and set up fuel releases
• Confirm, verify and correct post-flight fuel transactions
• Maintain and track fuel usage and pricing data
• Complete any/all tasks as outlined in fuel checklists
• Review flight calendar on an ongoing basis throughout the day to ensure all trips are properly addressed
• Promptly respond to incoming phone calls from pilots and operators regarding fuel arrangements and changes
• Perform quality assurance functions to ensure fuel is properly arranged
• Prioritize and resolve crisis situations keeping in mind the customer’s best interest, safety and timeliness
• Proactively identify problems and choose appropriate solutions
• Coordinate communications and changes between customers, operators, pilots, FBOs and other involved parties
• Attend daily/weekly meetings as necessary
• Daytime/ evening/weekend/holiday on-call duties will be required

Prior Experience:
• College degree preferred or min of 2 years experienced required
• Service and/or operations experience required
• Aviation experience a plus
• MS office
